Is Virginia a nice place to live?

Could you please tell me about the job opportunities, cost of living, and areas that you would recommend.

I have a 3 year old who would go to preschool. Two of my children would attend Public Schools (8, 14). I would also like to finish College for Physical Therapy.

What are some suggestions for good cities in Virginia that also have good schools for the kids. I%26#039;m from Michigan and really thinking about leaving A.S.A. P. The economy and unemployment rate is terrible. I%26#039;m having a very hard time finding decent employment, and recently I finished school for Medical Billing. Thanks for info.

Virginia is a great place to live, been here for 28 years. Medical field jobs should be no problem in this area. Sentara Hospitals are numerous, Children%26#039;s Hospital of the Kings Daughters in Norfolk. Cost of living isn%26#039;t bad, Virginia Beach has the lowest real estate taxes and the better schools. There are community college, Tidewater Community in Va. Beach has medical programs available. Our unemployment rate is around 4% and has been at 4% for years. There is plenty of housing available in our area. I would recommend Va. Beach to live. Lowest crime rate and the weather is great. Good luck and hope this helps. Look at pilotonline.com which is the local paper and check out the career connection for jobs.

I went to Virginia once and loved it you could go to william and mary It%26#039;s a great college! I have no idea about the employment rate but it is a beautiful place!|||im a junior high student in Newport News, VA i moved here from Wisconsin and i think it is the best decision my parents made in years!! the average house costs around $35 - 50,000 im not sure though it might be lower...... and an Apartment costs around $800 - 900, according to what my parents pay......there are many job opportunitys in the area... i would recommend living in Newport News { where i live}, Williamsburg, Richmond, or Norfolk...... i would say Newport News, or Williamburg are the best choices cause they have better housing, and better job opportunities, and there are many colleges near by, and day care providers near by as well..... and for you 2 oldest Newport News has the best schools in all Virginia. And Best high schools too.....

best wishes,

good luck

i hope i helped you out!!|||I used to live in Virginia and I would move back in a heartbeat! The tidewater area is the best part of Virginia. Some of the area towns are Williamsburg, Hampton.. Then you have the %26#039;southside%26#039; towns of Portsmouth, Norfolk, Chesapeake, and Suffolk.

Good luck!
