I recently lived in BCN, so:

It oscillateard getting a jobapartment know some companies and they provide you all the legal paEnglish. If you speak english, some other European language, plus Spanish, you have great chances. An average good salary is around 1,100 euros.

Appartment prices: They oscilate from 270 to 400 euros (shared with other people). If you want to live alone, you may pay up to 700 euros. The best location is downtown, since it%26#039;s cheaper and pretty nearby all the attractions and communication means. the unemployment rate is very mistrusting, since there%26#039;s a lot of illegal people working in there. Not to worry, you can get a job even being a waiter!

Internet access oscillates from 1.50 to 3 euros per hour.

Referring to power, normally is included in your appartment payment.

The best transportation is the metro, which cost 6 euros a 10-trips-ticket.

For me, living in Barcelona was a real experience. I don%26#039;t know if it%26#039;s a great city for living. It%26#039;s too noisy, dirty, and you get sick of tourism 24/7/365!!! Despite its culture and alternative offers, you seem to enjoy a lot there if you have a lot of money and love parties. A relaxing city, definitively, it is not.

I have lived in Barcelona, Its my third favourite city in europe (London, Rome) Pricing can be expensive like any big city so speak the language and meet the locals, dont get involved in politics as Barcelona has a split culture on this. Its a beautiful city. And dont worry about Power or transport, its Spain not a third world country they have everything else a normal western country has. The pay can be average but it depends on your skills, learn the language as this will be essential !!
