About 40 days ago I got an offer letter from capital one for credit card, and I applied for it. I got my first bill last week and they charged me the member fee $45. It%26#039;s my fault that I didn%26#039;t notice that they want to charge member fee as applying for it. Now I want to pay off the balance and close my account. Can I get my member fee back? Thanks a lot.
By the way, I also got another offer letter from capital one for no annul fee, but that was after I applied for this credit card.

This happened to a friend of mine.
They told him no.
He paid $45.01 online, and called CSR to close the account. He also demanded they send him a check for the balance.
A week later he got a check in the mail for $.01

Ask them all they can say is no and you owe the 45 bucks, you already owe that, so what so you lose.
